I keep seeing on TikTok and social media how everyone is raving about an affordable Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Blush dupe since not everyone can afford to splurge on high-end makeup.

I’ll be the first to admit how lovely Rare Beauty Sot Pinch Blush is. I have a set of Rare Beauty blushes myself, and they’re one of my go-to liquid blushes for an effortless and natural-looking flush.

So when I saw Makeup Revolution Blush Bomb Cream Blusher being compared to Rare Beauty’s Soft Pinch Blush, I knew I had to try it out.

The formula is lightweight and buildable, giving you a natural and long-lasting flush of color. It’s also formulated to work well over both liquid and powder makeup, so it’s great for layering on top of your makeup base.

The downside? The price. For 0.25 oz, the blush is $23.00, which is not the most budget-friendly option.

So, what are some alternatives?

The formula has a large doe-foot applicator, just like Rare Beauty’s Soft Pinch Blush. Unfortunately, that’s where the similarities end:

In terms of pigments, Makeup Revolution’s Blush Bomb Cream Blusher is not nearly as pigmented, although it is buildable for a natural flush. The formula blends seamlessly into my skin, giving a radiant finish. Due to the thinner formula, it’s much easier to blend than Rare Beauty.

❌ Shade Range and Finish

Makeup Revolution offers five shades of liquid blush compared to Rare Beauty’s 13 shades. While Rare Beauty offers a range of dewy and matte finishes, Makeup Revolution’s finishes are all dewy.

The shade Dolly Rose is somewhat similar to Rare Beauty’s Happy but has more of a coral tint and is much more sheer.

So, is Makeup Revolution’s Blush Bomb Cream Blusher a dupe for Rare Beauty’s Soft Pinch Blush? Regarding packaging and finish, it gives Rare Beauty a run for its money. It just isn’t as pigmented.

With a much more affordable price tag, it’s a great option for those looking to achieve a sheer flush but not close enough in coverage to be considered a Rare Beauty blush dupe.

But…I found something better!

Although it has a thicker, creamier texture than Rare Beauty, it’s easily blendable and has a matte finish.

The pigmentation of Sweet Cheeks Soft Cheek Tint Blush is excellent, just like Rare Beauty. One swipe gives you a beautiful wash of color, but it can also be built up for a more intense look.

Sweet Cheeks Soft Cheek Tint Blush comes in six shades, including rose, taupe, nude, coral, and berry shades. Unlike Rare Beauty’s dewy finish, NYX has a natural-looking matte finish that adds a natural color to the cheeks. It doesn’t emphasize texture or pores, though.

This NYX cream blush comes in a soft tube with a pointed doe-foot applicator, which makes it easy to apply the product directly onto your cheeks. The tube is lightweight and perfect for throwing in your purse for touch-ups on the go.

The best part? Sweet Cheeks Soft Cheek Tint Blush retails for only $9.50 for 0.40, making it much more affordable than Rare Beauty.

NYX: The Better Dupe!

While Makeup Revolution’s Blush Bomb Cream Blusher is a nice sheer blush, NYX Sweet Cheeks Soft Cheek Tint Blush is a better blush dupe for Rare Beauty thanks to its rich pigments.

With its shade range, pigmentation, and affordable price tag, NYX Sweet Cheeks definitely deserves a spot in your makeup collection!
